Type Locality and Naming

Includes in Turzguny-Terezki thrust sheet. It was delineated by E. Ya. Leven (1960).

Synonym: Ishiyskaya suite, Ишийская свита, Ishiy Fm

Lithology and Thickness

It is composed of zeolitically altered trachyphonolites, dacites, albiteporphyrites, orthophyre, and diabases, enclosing interbeds of phyllitic slates and quartzitic sandstones (Budanov, 1964b). The incomplete thickness is 1000 m.

Lower contact

The base of the suite is not exposed.

Upper contact

It is overlain conformably by the Toutash Fm

Regional extent

It is widespread in the eastern part of the Sarykol district.
